XDefiant has confirmed a huge feature for the PS5 and Xbox Series XDefiant is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft, with its playable factions having access to unique weapons and abilities.

Ubisoft recently hosted a Ubisoft Forward presentation on June 12, giving players a look at some of the titles in development at its studios. The Ubisoft Forward event featured extensive XDefiant footage, showcasing the guns and other weapons customers can use throughout the game. Now, Ubisoft has revealed some good news about the PS5 and Xbox Series

This information comes from Mark Rubin, executive producer at Ubisoft in San Francisco, who confirms on Twitter that the PS5 and Xbox Series This will allow users to have a smoother gaming experience while playing XDefiant on PS5 or Xbox Series Gamers should note that they will need a capable TV to be able to run XDefiant in this mode, although most modern TVs are equipped with this feature.

Ubisoft will soon host an open beta for XDefiant, giving players hands-on experience with the title. This beta period will run from 10am PT on June 21st to 11pm PT on June 24th, so players will be able to participate in this XDefiant event for approximately three days. Additionally, anyone who played the XDefiant closed beta will be able to jump into the game on June 20, giving them an extra day of time with the game.

Ubisoft also announced XDefiant’s launch plans during the presentation, confirming the amount of content players can expect upon its release, along with a roadmap for its Year 1. A special pre-season event for six weeks, with 14 maps, five factions. and five modes. So, Ubisoft plans to release new content every three months, offering users 12 maps, 12 weapons and four factions in XDefiant. Overall, it looks like XDefiant’s first year will be packed with content, and it will be interesting to see if Ubisoft can maintain an audience in an otherwise crowded genre.

XDefiant is currently in development for Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
