A woman claims her real dad is a fertility doctor who allegedly mixed his own semen with a donor’s in a bid to get her mother pregnant.
Eva Wiley claims she made the shocking discovery after carrying out a DNA test.
The 31-year-old, from Texas, USA, said the revelation ‘sucked’ and is now campaigning for ‘fertility fraud’ to be made illegal.
“I just want to know why,” she told ABC’s 20/20 programme. “I don’t love this.
“This sucks. When I tell people my story, their jaws hit the floor.”
Speaking about her mum’s fertility doctor, she said: “He was kind of a hero for my parents.
“He gave them the one thing that they wanted — and it was a child.”
Eva’s parents had failed to conceive five times before the doctor allegedly mixed his own semen with the sperm of donor Steve Scholl.
Her mother Margo Williams said she hadn’t given the doctor permission, according to US media reports.
Ms Wiley met Mr Scholl 14 years ago and believed he was her real father, even going as far as inviting him on holidays and to her wedding.
Following the revelation, she has met other people who have discovered that their biological fathers were ‘doctor daddies’.
So-called ‘Fertility fraud’ is not currently illegal in Texas, although there is a campaign to make it a crime.
