Cheltenham hero Minella Indo and superstar jockey Blackmore will be at Punchestown

But she faces a tough task against Paul Townend, who is having a special protective boot made for his injured leg.

When is Punchestown Festival 2021?

Punchestown Festival starts on Tuesday, April 27.

The five-day showpiece ends on Saturday, May 1.

All the action takes place at Punchestown racecourse in Co Kildare, Ireland.

What channel is the Punchestown Festival on?

The action will almost certainly be on ITV, although a full schedule has not been released yet.


Who are the runners?

A whole host of top horses are set to grace Punchestown Festival.

Some of the biggest horses in racing will be at the meet.

On Tuesday, look out for Appreciate It in the Champion Novice Hurdle.

The hugely exciting Echoes In Rain will be in that race too.

Allaho and Chacun Pour Soi will be battle it out in the Champion Chase.

And then Monkfish and Cheltenham flop Envoi Allen will face off in the Champion Novice Chase.

Wednesday sees the likes of Minella Indo, Al Boum Photo, Kilcruit and Sir Gerhard.

And keep an eye out for Alex Ferguson’s horse Clan Des Obeaux in the Gold Cup.

Thursday will be a treat with Energumene – denied a showdown with Shishkin at Cheltenham – returning.

Honeysuckle and Bob Olinger are set to run on Friday.

While Saturday is all set to have Tellmesomethinggirl, Concertista and Zanahiyr run.
