UK weather forecast – Weekend scorcher hits today as 28C sunshine is set to send Brits off to the beaches
GET the suncream on standby because Friday’s going to be a scorcher – with temperatures reaching a balmy 28C.
Today Brits will flock to beaches as a weekend scorcher kicks off with uninterrupted sunny bliss for millions, the Met Office says.
Experts say the next few days are going to be just as sunny as Friday – when sunshine will mainly focus on England and Wales.
Forecaster Craig Snell said: “For the next two days there’s going to be no interruptions – it’s going to be almost wall-to-wall sunshine.”
In most of England and Wales the weather has been in the low to mid 20s in recent days – with the clear and sunny skies set to continue today.
But it will be a little colder in the North at around 17C – and Scotland will see a few patches of rain and temperatures as low as 14C.
