Royal wedding: Grumpy bridesmaid steals show on Lady Gabriella’s big day
Lady Gabriella, the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, married Thomas Kingston in the third royal wedding to be held at St George’s Chapel in just under one year. Senior members of the royal family including the Queen and Prince Harry, were seen attending the nuptials as the Lady Gabriella and Mr Kingston tied the knot. But there was one little girl who has captured the hearts of royal fans in the official wedding photos.
In the photos, the newlywed couple posed in the gardens of Frogmore House, the residence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, with bridesmaids and pageboys.
But one outgoing little girl wasn’t afraid to show her feelings during the wedding photos, which can often be a long affair in getting just right.
Aurelia del Drago can be seen scowling at the camera as she poses with her flower bouquet – seemingly less than happy to be there.
The bride and groom are standing next to each other looking happy and loved up.
But the young bridesmaid looks less than enthused by the event – and captured the attention of royal fans everywhere.
But later that day, young Ms Drago looked a sight happier as she posed in photographs with other members of the royal family, including the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
In that photo, she posed next to paige boys Frederick and Rafferty Murray and flashed a big smile for the camera.
Other figures in the post-wedding photograph included Lady Gabriella’s parents Prince and Princess Michael of Kent along with her brother Lord Frederick Windsor and Princess Alexandra.
It’s not the first time a young bridesmaid has nearly upstaged a royal couple.
After the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding ceremony in 2011, the couple shared a kiss on the bacony of Buckigham Palace.
But young bridesmaid Grace van Cutsem, then 3-years-old, looked less than impressed as she covered her ears and scowled at the adoring crowds below.
