Piers Morgan slams ‘disrespectful and pathetic’ Donald Trump protesters on GMB as thousands set to demonstrate UK visit outside Buckingham Palace

PIERS Morgan has slammed ‘pathetic’ protesters for planning to cause havoc in London with a monstrous 20ft blimp of Trump as an angry orange baby.

The Good Morning Britain presenter attacked the hoards of people lining Buckingham Palace and branded them ‘disrespectful’ as he is here to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Furious over the plans, on air this morning he said: “There’s something a bit warped about our values. Is Trump really worse than Putin or King Salman?

“Americans fought and died alongside us on D-Day.”

The journalist and presenter is an avid Trump supporter and has called him a “good friend”.

He recently interviewed him for the fourth time which were aired on GMB.

The Brit presenter also fights the American’s corner on Twitter and frequently rows with London Mayor Sadiq Khan who gave the go ahead to fly the baby last year during Trump’s visit.

The main mass demonstration is set to take place outside Buckingham Palace this evening from 5.30pm  when the president will be enjoying a banquet with the Queen.

Asad Rehman, a member of the Stop Trump Coalition, which created the gigantic baby balloon told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that the protest was a comment on Trump being “egotistical and has got a very thin skin”.

Piers asked him if it looks like Britain’s response to commemorating one of the bloodiest battles in recent history to be floating the baby blimp.

There’s something a bit warped about our values. Is Trump really worse than Putin or King Salman?

Asad said: ” Let’s be as upset the fact that six young children have died in custody in the United States as a result of his policies to divide parents and children.”

Quizzing him on whether he would stage the same protest for the visit of Mohammad Bin Salman Al Suad, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia with a similar balloon.

Mr Rehman said that there were other demonstrations against the Crown Prince, adding: “I don’t think the criteria for a protest is having a blimp.”

He added: “The fact that the overwhelming majority of, what we could call from political parties to ordinary people, majority of people in London object to the state visit is because it’s the rolling out of red carpet – not just about the fact he’s a sexual predator, he tweets racist and fascist, he’s a climate denialist, he’s a misogynist. All these things.

“He’s retweeted far-Right fascists, the very people, convicted racists, who’s incitement led to the murder of a British MP. Remember that the murderer of Jo Cox shouts Britain First. The way he talks about migrants.”

A spokesperson for Stand Up To Trump said: “We will be bringing central London to a standstill. By the time he leaves he will know, and the world will know, that people here reject him and his toxic politics.”

As well as the huge inflatable, the protesters have also show off a 16ft robot of Trump sitting on a gold toilet.

It will say well-known Trump phrases like “you are fake news”, “no conclusion” and “I’m a very stable genius”whilst making farting noises.
