Meghan and Prince Harry have settled down in California with their son Archie, having left their lives as working royals behind earlier this year. Now separate from the Palace machine, they have much more control over their image and what news they give the public. Although the two have remained relatively tight-lipped about their private lives in recent months, fans have joined the dots and are theorising that Meghan may be expecting their second child sometime next year.
Fans leapt on the news this week that the Duchess of Sussex had chosen to postpone her privacy trial against the Mail on Sunday by nine months.
Her trial was scheduled for January 11, but it has now been pushed back and is set to take place in Autumn 2021.
The High Court judge agreed to the delay after hearing submissions from Meghan’s lawyers as to why it was needed.
The news, which broke today, triggered a wave of excitement amid royal watchers.
@Murky_Meg tweeted: “Confidential reason why the delay was needed…”
They added: “What other things take nine months?”
This tweet racked up 113 likes in less than an hour.

Another Twitter account replied to Mr Kirk’s original tweet, saying: “I guess that’s her way of announcing her pregnancy and she doesn’t want stress.”
As soon as the news regarding the trial broke, bookies slashed the odds on her having a second child.
Ladbrokes announced that they have cut odds from five to four down to just four to six on the couple to make the pregnancy news public before the end of 2020.
Meghan first expressed her hopes for a larger family when she was primarily known as an actor on the US legal drama, Suits, and before she had met Harry.
In a 2014 interview with The Brew, she said: “I dream to be a mum with wee ones running around my house.”
The Sussexes have regularly spoken about their happiness watching their first born grow up in their new house in Santa Barbara, where they can see all his “firsts” such as first steps and first run.

One of Meghan’s friends also told The Daily Mail that the Duchess had hinted at how she wanted more children earlier this year.
The source explained: “Meghan lit up when she spoke about Archie.
“She said he’s a bundle of energy and prefers playing over sleeping.
“She joked that he needs a pint-size little buddy other than the dogs.”
Yet, Harry has not always been quite so convinced that a big family is for him.
The year he started dating Meghan — 2016 — he told People Magazine: “There have been moments throughout life, especially when we do a tour abroad when I think ‘I’d love to have kids now’.
“And then there are other times when I bury my head in the sand going, ‘All right, don’t need kids!’”
Harry also revealed earlier this year in a discussion with parents who have disabled children that he “can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is for you guys”.

He added: “Having one kid at 11 months old is enough!”
The Duke of Sussex has also said in the past that he wants no more than two children, for environmental reasons and to help prevent overpopulation.
In conversation with the environmentalist Dr Jane Goodall for Vogue, he said he viewed nature “differently now” as an adult, “without question”.
He continued: “I’ve always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child and hoping to have children…”
Dr Goodall interjected: “Not too many!”
Harry quickly replied: “Two, maximum!”
Even so, shortly after Archie was born in May last year, insiders claimed that the couple were already keen to welcome more than one child into their family.
A source close to them told People Magazine: “They definitely want to.”
They added: “Meghan has talked about having one more.”
The insider said Harry feels the same way, and explained: “Harry has wanted this family life for a while and he’s going to love it.
“He’s always enthusiastic with children and now he will have his own little world that he has dreamed of for a long time.”
Harry was ecstatic when Archie was born and said his baby was “absolutely to die for” and that he’s “absolutely over the moon”.
