Talking to The Independent in 2009, Louise spoke of why she chose to pursue a career within Journalism.
At the time she said: “It was always what I wanted to do. There’s never really been anything else.
“I went travelling after university, and became the translator in Chile for Operation Raleigh, as I could speak the language.
“I did lots of interviews, and suddenly realised that I wanted to be the person on the radio asking the questions.”
