Power first launched back in 2014 quietly enough, following the rise and fall of New York kingpin James “Ghost” St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick). Ghost was trying to leave behind his life of crime and follow the straight and narrow. By his side was his best friend Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) with the pair as close as brothers as they sought to carve out a lucrative career yet remaining at odds.
How much was Joseph Sikora paid for Power?
Power has become an international phenomenon with the cast becoming well-known across the globe and audiences hooked on the exploits of Ghost and Tommy.
Some are intrigued to know more about Sikora, who is expected to be reprising his role as Tommy in spin-off series Power Book II: Ghost.
Sikora will also be taking the lead as Tommy in his very own spin-off show Power Book IV: Force which is in production.
During his time on Power, Sikora would have seen his salary go up in line with the growing popularity of the Starz show.
Given he was a major character and nearly often seen onscreen as much as his co-star Hardwick, he would be making a substantial amount.
Although there doesn’t seem to be any figures available for how much Sikora was paid for his time on the show, his net worth is an estimated £2.4 million ($3 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.
His work on Power would have contributed significantly to his wealth with the actor appearing on the show in all six seasons.
Another factor worth considering in Sikora’s pay is his prominence as an actor at the time of being cast in Power.
Before Power, Sikora had starred in The Heart, She Holler as well as small roles in the likes of Grey’s Anatomy, ER, Prison Break and CSI: NY.
He also appeared in prestige television series Boardwalk Empire as well as movie roles in Jack Reacher, Safe and Ghost World.
All of this would have been factored into how much he was initially paid for Power with the star going on to see pay rises as the show continued.
According to a general salary report from Variety from 2018, actors in shows on cable networks such as Starz, HBO, Showtime and AMC can make between an estimated £81,000 ($100,000) to £810,000 ($1 million) per episode.
For instance, Norman Reedus is at the top end of this spectrum after starring in AMC’s The Walking Dead for almost 10 years as a lead.
Sikora and indeed his co-star Hardwick could be closer to this end of the spectrum given their time on Power and being main characters.
Tariq St Patrick actor Michael Rainey Jr was reportedly making £14,900 ($20,000) for each episode of Power in season one, according to The Blast.
He later received a pay rise as his character grew in prominence on the show.
Judging by this figure, Sikora would be taking home significantly more as both an adult performer and due to having more roles under his belt.
Going forward, Sikora is going to be commanding bigger pay cheques because of his work on Power.
He recently appeared in Netflix’s crime drama Ozark as well as a role in the surreal limited series Maniac.
Power has very much put Sikora on the map, but the actor continues to work and even took on other projects while starring in Power, such is the actor’s work ethic.
Along with playing Tommy, it looks like Sikora is going to continue to appear in other films and TV shows.
