How Man Utd might line up next season after summer transfer wish list revealed

MANCHESTER UNITED will surely be one of the favourites for the Premier League next season should they manage to nab all of their transfer targets in the summer.

The Red Devils could spend big at the end of the season, and are already believed to have lined up four huge targets to bolster their side.

This is how Manchester United could line-up next season should they sign their desired targets

The primary focus seems to be on the defence – with United already shipping in 36 goals in 28 Premier League games – the second highest of any club in the top seven.

Chris Smalling and Phil Jones continue to be criticised by fans despite the duo both signing long-term contracts this campaign.

And with the need for a world class centre-back, United have lined up TWO in the shape of Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Skriniar.

Both men are plying their trade in Serie A at Napoli and Inter Milan respectively, with Koulibaly likely to cost United around £100million.

Also high on their wish list is Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has starred for the Eagles this season.

But they face competition from Arsenal for his services, with the South London club holding out for £40m.

While United are also understood to be interested in Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, with the Catalan club said to be open to the prospect of selling the 30-year-old.

There is no need for any new attackers to move to Old Trafford, with United already boasting the likes of Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard.

And should they sign their four targets, fans will surely be salivating over their potential line-up.

David De Gea will keep his place as the No 1 goalkeeper, with Wan-Bissaka, Koulibaly, Skriniar and Luke Shaw completing the back four.

A midfield three would likely consist of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Rakitic, with Lingard, Martial and Rashford up top.
