She said: “A staff member saw the mice too and screamed louder than me. He went, ‘We can’t get rid of them. They’re everywhere. We have a huge problem’.”
Maureen, of Hambledon, Surrey, said: “At first I thought they were the toy mice that dart about. When I realised they were real, I was disgusted.
“And the reaction from staff in the first-floor ladies’ fashion department told me they are rife in there.
“Harrods is supposed to be the height of luxury and I’m jumping over rodents.”
A Harrods worker said: “This is a problem. We have been told to keep a lookout.”
Harrods, in Knightsbridge, West London, is having a two-year refurbishment. Sources told The Sun two mice had been caught there since Maureen’s ordeal.
Harrods called it an isolated incident and said contractors brought in “promptly dealt with the issue”.
