Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh, 43, hit the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor for the first time with her professional dancing partner Giovanni Pernice, 30, last night. While the Strictly star wowed the judges and her ITV pal Kate Garraway, 53, she and Giovanni were said to be “marked too high”.
Ranvir made her debut on the BBC dancing competition last night with a Paso Doble to Beyonce’s hit song End of Time.
While she and Giovanni earned a whopping score of 21 out of 30 for their first performance on the show, two former professional dancers on the show said the score was too high.
Craig Revel Horwood told the stars it was “a great first dance” and Motsi Mabuse said Ranvir was the “most improved” celebrity from last week.
However, professional dancer James Jordan, 42, and his wife Ola Jordan, 32, revealed their honest thoughts on Ranvir and Giovanni’s performance.

Ola spoke about Nicola Adams and her partner Katya Jones after watching their Quickstep: “Nicola was good.
“Katya Jones obviously proved that Nicola is partnered with the right person, that’s what we said from the very beginning.”
James shared: “In my opinion, there were two people that were marked too high and that was Caroline Quentin and Ranvir Singh,” to which Ola agreed.
“They both got the same marks as Nicola, but Nicola was better than them.”
Caroline, 60, is paired with professional dancer Johannes Radebe, who joined the Strictly family two years ago.
Johannes and Caroline wowed the judges after performing the American Smooth on the dance floor for their first dance together.
By the end of the evening, Ranvir and Giovanni finished the evening in joint place with Caroline and Nicola.
It comes after Smooth Radio host Kate cheered Ranvir on last night as she watched her friend dance on the show.
In view of her 411,000 Twitter followers, Kate shared a snap of Ranvir and Giovanni taking in the moment as they listened to the judges’ comments for the first time in the series.
She penned: “Amazing amazing!!! Well done @ranvir01 – you are on fire @bbcstrictly @GMB.”
Another of Ranvir’s co-presenters, Susanna Reid, 49, also weighed in last night.
“WOW!!! @ranvir01 that was [fire] #Strictly,” she told her 769,000 Twitter followers.
