Emmerdale fans call out Eric Pollard's mistake which would've stopped him from crashing

Panicking, those watching at home saw him pull on the handbrake and the car swerved across the lane. 

But, there was another way in which Eric could’ve stopped the vehicle. 

Slowing down to a gentle stop was one, but fans suggested lowering the gear helps lower the speed. 

Taking to Twitter to comment, one said: “Eric not try engine braking or gently pulling the handbrake to slow it rather than wrench the s*** outta it #Emmerdale.”
