Coronavirus chaos: Lockdown IGNORED as Tynemouth beach and restaurants flooded with people

English town Tynemouth saw streams of people descend upon the beach and the local area on Sunday afternoon. Despite the national coronavirus lockdown, video footage has shown the beach and local restaurants busy with people. The video shows full car parks, walkways filled with people and restaurant queues that stretch around the corner.

The video also shows little to no social distancing being observed between groups of people, creating large bunches.

The second national lockdown came into effect on 2nd of November and required citizens adhere to the new rules for a month.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced in a press conference that the majority of non-essential businesses will be forced to close.

Unlike the previous lockdown, however, schools, universities and colleges are permitted to remain open.

Under the new lockdown rules, individuals are only permitted to leave their home for education, work but only if you are unable to work from home, exercise, medical reasons, to escape injury or harm, care for vulnerable people, volunteer and shop for essentials.
