These blond bombshells from Brazil are a triple threat.
Adriana, Alessandra and Andreia Dantas, 37, of Sao Paulo have been training and competing as the “world’s only bodybuilding triplets” for years. They share matching diets, exercise routines — and even the same plastic surgeon — to ensure they each have the same shot at winning.
And now they have a revealing new project in the works.
“We have a stronger bond than normal siblings — we are always doing things together because it’s fun,” Alessandra told Barcroft TV. “We always cut our hair the same. When Adriana got silicone [implant] surgery, me and Andreia also got the same procedure with the same doctor.”
In order to maintain their cut-but-curvy physiques, the burgeoning (they only have 21,327 followers and counting) Instagram models follow the same extreme meal plan of eight small dishes per day, each one from a different food group.
“You need a strong mind to be able to stick to the diet on schedule, the training, the supplements — all this affects you psychologically,” Adriana told the outlet. The diet is tough because they have to weigh each meal to specific amounts and are limited to eating carbohydrates only once a day.
“Chicken, fish, meat, eggs — we only have carbs once per day, which is in the post-training,” Alessandra said. “It is complex and tense, it is a very strict diet — it’s very easy to give up, especially when you a have a routine with family, with children.”
Speaking of kids: Alessandra’s son Enrico is not impressed. The 13-year-old “doesn’t see the point” of pumping iron.
“I will never follow in my mother’s footsteps — definitely not,” he said. “She always wants to keep you pumped; moving around, doing everything. She doesn’t want you to sit down and watch TV all day.”
Still, Enrico’s hormonal teen buds are impressed by the mom bods.
“They thought I was joking — now they think it’s really cool. One of them even said she’s super-hot, which is a little weird,” the teen said. “Whenever my friends are in our home, my mom’s always there with her six-pack making me feel a little less of myself.”
The Dantas triplets carved out a career together because they enjoy keeping it in the family.
“Perhaps if I wasn’t a triplet, I would find a normal job, but with them there is more hope, it’s more cheerful, more motivating,” Andreia says. In addition following the same strict diet, they train using synchronized exercises and stage moves.
“We exercise every day, five times a week — the importance is to grow old well, to have a good physique,” Andreia said.
Their personal trainer, Guilherme (one name only, like Madonna), said he was in “disbelief” when he first realized he was going to train identical triplets.
“I’d never seen anything like it,” he said. “It’s really nice to see one helping the other with the same objective — I find it fantastic.”
When they hit the competition stage — the trainer and his clients claimed there’s was a surprising lack of competition.
If one wins, they all win, Andreia said. Besides, “whether we win or lose, what matters I always tell them, what counts is the glamour,” Alessandra added.
And all of this hard work is in pursuit of one sexy ultimate goal: They are looking to parlay their hard work into a lingerie business to rival Victoria’s Secret and Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line.
“We have beautiful bodies, so we’ll be the faces of our own brand — we’ll save up on models!” Alessandra said.
