Angry Leicester fans fuming after being overcharged for new pink away kit

ANGRY Leicester fans feel cheated after finding out they are being overcharged for their new away kits.

The Foxes released their strip for the 2019-20 campaign last week, which includes a traditional blue home shirt and two away shirts — one in pink and one in black.

An identical pink jersey can be purchased on Kitlocker for just £26.21

On the club website, the away tops can be yours for a hefty £55 in adult and £40 in child sizes.

However, SunSport can reveal an identical pink jersey without the club badge and sponsor can be bought on sportswear website Kitlocker for just £26.21 (adult) and £16.46 (child).

That means fans are being forced to fork out  between £23.54-£28.79 for the ‘add-ons’ — and the same also applies for the black jersey.

Fans have criticised kit sponsor Adidas — who have a history of using similar  styles for a large majority of their strips.

One fan branded it a “con”, and another raged: “Yet another way of ripping fans off.”

Fans have also questioned the design on the front of the pink top which is identical to  Germany’s home shirt of last summer — as worn by Leroy Sane — marking their 1990 World Cup win.

One fan joked: “Looks like someone put a red sock in the wash with the German 1990 World Cup shirt. Shocker.”

Another simply added: “Recycled Germany kit.”
