Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was told to “f*** off” by Manchester United fans after Sunday’s clash at Old Trafford.
The former Arsenal star was reportedly being hounded by a small section of supporters while he was warming up.
After the match, ‘the Ox’ went over the same fans and offered them a fist bump.
But, after Liverpool’s late equaliser, the supporters weren’t in a particularly welcome mood.
He was told to “f*** off” repeatedly through the exchange, which saw two of his offers for fist bumps rejected.
One United fan appeared to accept the offer, much to Oxlade-Chamberlain’s delight.
But, at the final moment, the fan jokingly pulled his arm away, once again leaving the Liverpool star hanging.
He then walked off toward the tunnel, applauding the few United fans that were clapping him.
The United fans were likely angered by conceding a soft goal late in the tie, which starved Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of two valuable points.
But, the Red Devils took the lead in the tie during the first-half, after Marcus Rashford scored.
Victor Lindelof appeared to kick Divock Origi in the build-up to the goal, which left Jurgen Klopp absolutely fuming with officials.
Daniel James picked up the ball and placed a pin-point cross into Rashford, who dispatched the ball under Alisson.
Liverpool equalised in the 85th minute, when Adam Lallana pounced on a loose ball at United’s far post.
It meant that Liverpool’s winning run of 17 matches fell short of Manchester City’s record 18 win-streak.
But, the Reds are still six points clear at the top of the table, ahead of City.
United, meanwhile, dropped to 13th in the table this weekend, having still won just two matches from their opening nine league matches.
