The One Show host Alex Jones took to Instagram this morning after receiving some post from pop group Steps. The TV star was sent a copy of their brand new album and told her 267,000 followers that she couldn’t wait to listen to the new tracks while loading the dishwasher, before making a little dig at her husband.
“I just received this in the post and I don’t think there is a better package to cheer up on your Thursday morning,” Alex said.
The mum-of-two, who shares young sons Teddy, three, and Kit, one, with her spouse Charlie, could be seen unwrapping a selection of goodies from the group.
“It’s Steps brand new CD… this is going to be blaring when I fill the dishwasher,” the presenter added.
A short while later, the 43-year-old returned to the picture sharing site to give fans an update, after being inundated with questions.

The package from Steps – Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian “H” Watkins – included a copy of their new album What The Future Holds on CD, Vinyl and cassette tape.
Their sixth studio album goes on sale tomorrow.
The new release was originally meant to hit the shops in Spring, however it was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
